ORLANDO, Fla. \u2014 Central Florida is in for another sweltering day Friday, with temperatures climbing into the mid-90s and dangerously high heat index values expected across the region.<\/p>\n
Heat Advisories have been issued again for all of Central Florida as the combination of heat and humidity could make it feel like 100 to 110 degrees during the afternoon.<\/p>\n
The heat won\u2019t let up anytime soon. The current forecast calls for the heat wave to continue through the weekend, with afternoon temperatures remaining in the mid- to upper 90s.<\/p>\n
A few late-afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible Friday, with a 40% chance of rain. <\/p>\n
Any storms that develop could bring brief, heavy rain and gusty winds, but the rain will not provide much relief from the overall heat.<\/p>\n
The combination of extreme heat and humidity can increase the risk of heat-related illness. <\/p>\n
Those spending time outdoors should drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks in air conditioning or shade, and avoid prolonged strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day.<\/p>\n
