JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 A man is fighting for his life at the hospital Friday morning after a shooting on Jacksonville\u2019s Southside. It happened at about 9:45 p.m. Thursday at the Mirage on Kernan apartment complex in the 3600 block of Kernan Boulevard S.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to the location for reports of gunfire. A short time later Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office was notified of a walk-in patient at the hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper and lower extremities, a JSO news release states.<\/p>\n
His condition is listed as life-threatening, police said.<\/p>\n
Witnesses reported hearing five or six gunshots and then seeing a woman with a gun and a man behind her, police said. The two got into a dark-colored sedan and sped away.<\/p>\n
