ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 The Orlando area is forecast to see temperatures plunge next week<\/a>, with most of Central Florida waking up in the 40s on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

So when drivers head out for their daily commute and pump up the heater, they\u2019re likely to suffer from condensation fogging up their windows<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And even when it\u2019s not chilly outside, the humidity in your vehicle can still cause your windows to fog up, making it tough to see.<\/p>\n

However, there may be a solution.<\/p>\n

According to Car and Driving<\/a>, filling a sock with dry rice and placing it on your dashboard overnight can cut down on foggy windows when it comes time to drive to work in the morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis hack helps prevent excess moisture, reducing the likelihood of foggy windows during cold spells,\u201d the outlet\u2019s website reads.<\/p>\n

But it doesn\u2019t end there. <\/p>\n

Water damage restoration company Damp Solving<\/a> says that putting out some dry rice can also cut down on moisture in small, enclosed spaces like cabinets and drawers, meaning this trick can help out around the house, too.<\/p>\n

That being said, it\u2019s not considered the best solution for drying out entire rooms.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would require a massive amount of rice to make any significant difference, and too much rice could lead to excessively low humidity levels, which can cause health problems and damage to furniture and d\u00e9cor,\u201d Damp Solving states.<\/p>\n
