Like, let\u2019s see who is going to be the guy that\u2019s going to go make plays when it\u2019s not perfect \u2026 And then who\u2019s going to win some one-on-one matchups? Whether it\u2019s one-on-one pass pro, whether it\u2019s I\u2019m covering the guy one-on-one, or whether I got to defeat a one-on-one matchup at receiver. Who\u2019s going to go do that?\u201d<\/p>\n
Coen will be handing the playsheet to offensive coordinator Grant Udisnki, in an effort to give him some playcalling experience while providing himself some time to oversee the rest of the team. \u201cIt\u2019ll be a really good time for me to be on the defensive headset a little bit,\u201d said Coen.<\/p>\n
\u201cTypically when the defense is on, I\u2019m doing adjustments with the offensive staff, and then I\u2019ll click over and be able to get a little bit here and there. So, being able to hear the full process and be able to hear a little bit more of the new communication that will have to exist.\u201d<\/p>\n
