(WKMG) \u2013 A call to a Florida sheriff\u2019s office to report a missing person quickly turned into a death investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The victim\u2019s daughter arrived at the Lake County home Wednesday in search of her mother.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Deputies started investigating Wednesday night and found a bullet hole through the victim\u2019s passenger-side window with blood inside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">When deputies searched the vehicle, they found the missing woman dead in the rear hatchback area under a blanket.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The sheriff\u2019s office said they learned from the victim\u2019s family members and neighbors that the woman had an ongoing dispute with the man next door over property lines.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"A call to a sheriff\u2019s office to report a missing person quickly turned into a death...\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/473QHYG33NEOPKXJEHHNKPMW7Y.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>A call to a sheriff\u2019s office to report a missing person quickly turned into a death investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Deputies said the next-door neighbor then became a suspect. His truck was still in the driveway, but when law enforcement tried to contact him inside the home, they did not get a response.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Detectives obtained a search warrant and called in a SWAT team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">When SWAT went inside, deputies found the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Neighbors described the neighborhood as a quiet community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The sheriff\u2019s office did not immediately identify the suspect or victim.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WKMG via CNN Newsource.
