The Jaguars will not play their starters in the preseason opener today, as the team looks to keep its star players healthy for the regular season.

Since starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence will not play today, the Jaguars will be led by their backup quarterbacks Nick Mullens and Carter Bradley. These two players are competing for the second-string job this afternoon.

The Saints will not play their key starters in the preseason game today, as they already received a lot of reps during joint practices this week. Notably, this means that rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson will not see the field for New Orleans today.

Spencer Rattler and Zach Wilson will compete for the second-string quarterback position this afternoon, as both players will participate today.
