(WCTV) &#8211; The Pyramid Players are getting ready to take the stage this weekend and they\u2019re expecting a packed house for their annual musical. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">\u201cI am so happy to get hyped up,\u201d Javeda Gamble, who is on the Dance Team, said. \u201cMy whole family\u2019s going to be here. There\u2019s going to be a lot of people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cRadio Underground\u201d is a play written and performed by adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are excited to show the community what they can do.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Pyramid Players present &quot;Radio Underground&quot;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1786821618_317_AR6CNN2RHNATVA6XYO5AGR2TSQ.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Pyramid Players present &#8220;Radio Underground&#8221;(Julie Montanaro\/WCTV)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Pyramid Players have been hard at work rehearsing for the big show, which is a futuristic journey into a place called Neo City at a time when computers run the world. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">AI had banished music until a construction worker named Jax discovered a beautiful relic of the past &#8230; a juke box.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Patrick Doherty is in the cast each year and this year is playing the construction boss, \u201cBriggs,\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIt keeps me being happy,\u201d Doherty said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">These artists are now ready to lift the curtain on \u201cRadio Underground\u201d Saturday night at The Moon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">\u201cYou have lots of fun and you enjoy the show,\u201d Derrick Grimsley, who plays Riff, said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">The crowd, the lights and the applause are big confidence boosters for many of the performers and a big friendship booster, too.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">\u201cRadio Underground\u201d is a night of retro rock anthems and a chance for the Pyramid Players to showcase their creativity, talents and abilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe\u2019re all working together and we\u2019re going to show all of you guys who we really are and what we do and what\u2019s inside of us counts&#8230; and thank you,\u201d Elizabeth Haines said.
