JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 Jacksonville Jaguars fans took their gameday spirit to the streets of San Marco Saturday for the first-ever Quarterback Crawl \u2014 a bar hop through 12 local restaurants and bars, complete with quarterback-themed wigs.<\/p>\n
\u201cGiven the really positive response, I think we\u2019re definitely going to do it again,\u201d said Leena Barghouthi, the organizer with Elle Bar Marketing<\/a>.<\/p>\n For many attendees, the event was as much about supporting local businesses as it was about football. Fan David Smith said the crawl gave people a reason to come together.<\/p>\n \u201cCelebrating the Jags, showing some support, you know, for the community, for the bars,\u201d Smith said. \u201cJust trying to have a good time.\u201d<\/p>\n The event also drew newer fans to the fold. Lisa Pawul, who recently relocated from Cleveland, said she was already embracing her new team.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m a Jacksonville fan having a great time, lovely meeting new people,\u201d Pawul said.<\/p>\n Not everyone was just there for the party \u2014 some fans had their eyes on the bigger picture.
