The Florida Chamber of Commerce<\/a> is throwing its support behind Rob Long in the Special Election for House District 90.<\/p>\n

A Delray Beach City Commissioner and Vice Mayor, Long has emphasized economic development and public safety as his city\u2019s population grows. He also serves on the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency Governing Board, working on key infrastructure upgrades.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Florida Chamber of Commerce is pleased to endorse Rob Long as House District 90\u2019s next state representative,\u201d said Florida Chamber President and CEO Mark Wilson.<\/p>\n

\u201cRob has demonstrated a proven record of promoting economic development and infrastructure improvements for the people of Palm Beach County. We are confident in his commitment to the free market and his willingness to fight to create good-paying jobs to make Florida even more competitive.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the Legislature, Long says he\u2019ll focus on economic growth, science-based water policy and strengthening Florida\u2019s small business climate.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a local business owner, I\u2019m honored to have the support of the Florida Chamber of Commerce in this Special Election,\u201d Long said. \u201cI share their commitment to growing Florida\u2019s economy, supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs, and creating high-quality jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chamber said it will leverage its statewide network and political experience to help elect Long to the House.<\/p>\n

Long, Republican nominee Maria Zack and no-party candidate\u00a0Karen Yeh\u00a0are competing for the right to succeed late Democratic Rep.\u00a0Joe Casello, whose\u00a0death in July<\/a>\u00a0prompted a Special Election.<\/p>\n

HD 90<\/a>\u00a0is a\u00a0Democratic-leaning district<\/a>\u00a0that spans a coastal portion of Palm Beach County, including Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and part of Highland Beach.<\/p>\n

The General Election is on Dec. 9.<\/p>\n
