CASSELBERRY, Fla. \u2014 The 18th Circuit State Attorney\u2019s Office has released a new video showing the aftermath of a July crash in Casselberry that killed two brothers.<\/p>\n
The crash happened on July 7 on U.S. Highway 17-92.<\/p>\n
The body camera video shows deputies responding to the scene, pulling the suspect, 26-year-old Marquavious Wheaton, from his overturned rental vehicle and handcuffing him.<\/p>\n
The footage also captures deputies reacting to the extensive damage from the crash.<\/p>\n
In another part of the video, a deputy tells responders to check the vehicles to make sure no one else is inside.<\/p>\n
\u201cGet in there and make sure no one else is in their car,\u201d the deputy says.<\/p>\n
The wreckage was so extensive that responders initially were unsure how many vehicles were initially involved.<\/p>\n
The two people killed in the crash were brothers Christopher Marier, 42, and Tyler Marier, 40.<\/p>\n
According to the Seminole County Sheriff\u2019s Office, deputies had pulled Wheaton over for a traffic infraction when he allegedly fled.<\/p>\n
Deputies said they did not closely pursue Wheaton because of safety concerns. Instead, they followed him by helicopter, which captured the crash on video.<\/p>\n
Investigators said Wheaton reached speeds of more than 115 mph while fleeing before crashing into the brothers\u2019 SUV on Highway 17-92.<\/p>\n
Wheaton was initially charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of third-degree murder.<\/p>\n
Just over a week after the crash, the State Attorney\u2019s Office announced it would move forward with two counts of second-degree murder.<\/p>\n
Wheaton, 26, is being held without bond.<\/p>\n
He is expected to appear in court again Aug. 25 for a hearing.<\/p>\n
