A man is dead after being pulled from a swimming pool at a Jacksonville apartment complex Sunday evening, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office. <\/p>\n
Police say just after 6 p.m. on Aug. 16, a resident of Park Avenue Apartments on Baymeadows Circle East, was walking near the community pool when he noticed a dark object resting at the bottom of the water. Upon closer inspection, the resident realized it was a person.<\/p>\n
The resident jumped in and pulled the victim from the pool while screaming for help. A neighbor heard the calls and rushed over. Together, the two Good Samaritans attempted CPR as they waited for emergency responders to arrive.<\/p>\n
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department crews arrived on scene and transported the victim to the hospital. The victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the hospital.<\/p>\n
JSO detectives responded to the scene and are investigating the incident. Police say no foul play is suspected. <\/p>\n
