Almost two weeks after a harrowing livestream at his Miami home, Perez Hilton is still hospitalized, according to a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo everyone who has reached out, checked in, and kept Perez and our family in your thoughts, THANK YOU! His treatment is continuing in an inpatient setting under the care of a dedicated team of medical and mental health professionals,\u201d according to Sunday night\u2019s update on his eponymous website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The note adds that despite Hilton\u2019s situation, the website, which he built more than 20 years ago, will remain active and slowly begin sharing content again, \u201cfocusing on the day\u2019s biggest stories.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the early evening of Aug. 4, the so-called Queen of All Media became one of the day\u2019s biggest celebrity stories. Miami-Dade deputies responded to multiple 911 calls<\/a> while Hilton appeared to be engaging in self-harm in real time on TikTok.<\/p>\n

After a standoff outside his home near Bird Road in Westchester, the 48-year-old blogger \u2014 real name Mario Lavandeira Jr. \u2014 was taken by ambulance to HCA Kendall Hospital.<\/p>\n

The father of three was placed under Florida\u2019s Baker Act<\/a>, which allows authorities to hold people involuntarily if they pose a threat to themselves or others.<\/p>\n

A few days after the incident, a statement on the Internet personality\u2019s website said he experienced \u201csignificant blood loss\u201d and suffered \u201cadditional injuries\u201d that required surgery. His condition: \u201cserious but stable.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to a newly released report from the Miami-Dade County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Hilton\u2019s sister Barbara Giarraffa informed deputies at the home that he\u2019d recently been hospitalized for depression.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Page Six, she revealed she called police after unlocking Hilton\u2019s bathroom door and seeing him in an alarming physical and emotional state<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy nightmare became a reality,\u201d the California resident told the outlet, adding that she fled with his kids, had a friend pick them up, then went back in to wait for deputies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I can say with certainty is that I didn\u2019t recognize my brother when I looked at him. I saw it in his eyes. They didn\u2019t look the same. Then, a split second later, he smiled at me. It felt like I was staring at someone else.\u201d<\/p>\n
