Martin County deputies and lifeguard rescue man in emotional distress<\/p>\n

\"MalcolmMARTIN COUNTY, Fla. \u2014<\/p>\n

Two divisions of the Martin County Sheriff\u2019s Office worked together to save a man suffering from a mental health crisis.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office released a video from Sunday, Aug. 16, as its Marine Deputies, Aviation Unit along with a Martin County Lifeguard saved a man who was distraught and wanting to harm himself.<\/p>\n

According to the sheriff’s office, the man stated he was going to swim out into the ocean in hopes of not returning.<\/p>\n

Martin County deputies and a lifeguard saved a man in emotional distress who attempted to swim out into the ocean on Sunday, Aug. 16.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office said when its personnel located the man, they observed he was in emotional distress.<\/p>\n

Deputies entered the water and pulled the man out of the water. The sheriff\u2019s office said the man is getting the help he needs.<\/p>\n
