JACKSONVILLE \u2013 Travis Hunter<\/a> wears many hats for the Jaguars.<\/p>\n

He mostly wore one Monday.<\/p>\n

Hunter spent most of his practice reps at cornerback on Monday, an intentional move by the Jaguars’ staff as they continue to prepare him for Week 1 and beyond. As he often does, Hunter \u2013 the No. 2 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft \u2013 quickly made an impact.<\/p>\n

“Now, I’m back,” Hunter said.<\/p>\n

The Jaguars practiced for nearly two hours at the Miller Electric Center<\/a> on Day 14 of 2026 Training Camp<\/a> on Monday, with Hunter playing mostly defense. He took wide receiver reps during 7-on-7 drills but worked exclusively at corner during team drills \u2013 making plays in the process.<\/p>\n

“We just wanted to get him the 7-on-7 work and just really hone in on a little bit more corner,” Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

Hunter called the approach “definitely beneficial.”<\/p>\n

“I needed to knock the rust off,” he said. “I’ve got to get better somehow, somewhere. I definitely took my time to hone in on one today and that was defense. Get better, get my feet up under me. Can’t let anybody catch the ball, so that’s my motto right now, just continue to focus and get better.”<\/p>\n

Hunter on Monday matched up several times against the Jaguars’ top receivers, such as Brian Thomas Jr.<\/a> and Jakobi Meyers<\/a>. He made a play on the ball toward the end of practice, recording a physical and athletic pass breakup against rookie wide receiver CJ Williams<\/a>.<\/p>\n
