{"id":374818,"date":"2026-08-18T17:30:25","date_gmt":"2026-08-18T17:30:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/374818\/"},"modified":"2026-08-18T17:30:25","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T17:30:25","slug":"deputies-arrest-suspect-in-alleged-grave-robberies-ocso-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/374818\/","title":{"rendered":"Deputies arrest suspect in alleged grave robberies, OCSO says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deputies arrest suspect in alleged grave robberies; 2 others still sought, OCSO says<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/0ef9e7e2-0673-4d77-92c5-22a1e3663de5_1697751930.file.png\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\" alt=\"Allison Petro\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. \u2014<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"0\">A woman was arrested in connection with a series of graveside robberies that were reported across the country, according to the Orange County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"2\">The woman was identified as Angela Garrett. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"3\">OCSO said Garrett was part of a team traveling the country, visiting cemeteries and stealing family heirlooms, including incidents in Orange County.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"4\">The trio hit cemeteries in at least nine states during this disturbing crime spree.  <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"5\">Two other suspects, Drake Milam and Garrett&#8217;s daughter, Porsche Bancroft, are still at large, deputies said. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"6\">Officials are encouraging people who have not recently visited the gravesites of their late loved ones to check for any signs of disturbance and to contact law enforcement if they notice anything unusual.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"7\">A $5,000 reward is being offered through Central Florida Crimeline.
