Suspect arrested in March shooting at condo complex in Orlando<\/p>\n

An arrest has been made in a March shooting that took place at a condo complex in the MetroWest area of Orlando, according to the city’s police department.<\/p>\n

Alan Vernon Florvilus, 24, was arrested in Tampa in connection with the shooting at the Palms Club Condos, officers said. <\/p>\n

Three men were involved in the shooting, including Florvilus, Roderick Barron and Howard Bennett.<\/p>\n

The night before the shooting, detectives learned that Barron and Bennett were involved in an argument. During that dispute, Bennett threatened to shoot Barron and contacted Florvilus and asked him to come to the location, police said.<\/p>\n

The following morning, Barron and Bennett met up in the parking lot, and the argument continued, police said.<\/p>\n

Investigators determined Bennett attempted to pull a firearm on Barron. Before Bennett could fire, Barron pulled his own firearm and shot Bennett, killing him. <\/p>\n

Investigators determined Barron shot Bennett in self-defense. He is not facing charges.<\/p>\n

Florvilus then retrieved a rifle-style firearm from an apartment and opened fire on Barron, seriously wounding him, Orlando police said. Florvilus then fled the scene. <\/p>\n
