(WSVN) &#8211; A Miami Beach Police sergeant is being hailed a hero after he came to the rescue of an elderly man at a restaurant in Hialeah.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DcMf3k9FRan\/?img_index=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">a post Tuesday<\/a> on the department\u2019s Instagram account, officials said Miami Beach Sgt. Alex Bello was at La Vi\u00f1a Aragon Restaurant, located near West Eighth Avenue and 81st Place, when he noticed the man was choking.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sergeant performed the Heimlich maneuver on the diner, saving his life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Miami Beach Police Department praised Bello\u2019s swift actions, writing, \u201cWe proudly commend Sgt.
