{"id":375929,"date":"2026-08-19T21:06:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T21:06:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/375929\/"},"modified":"2026-08-19T21:06:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T21:06:14","slug":"opening-statements-begin-for-former-m-dcps-autism-specialist-accused-of-possessing-distributing-child-pornography-wsvn-7news-miami-news-weather-sports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/375929\/","title":{"rendered":"Opening statements begin for former M-DCPS autism specialist accused of possessing, distributing child pornography &#8211; WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(WSVN) &#8211; A former Miami-Dade Schools employee is on trial facing disturbing allegations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Cristina Miranda presided over opening statements Wednesday in the trial against Robert Turner, who was accused of possessing and distributing child pornography over social media <a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/miami-dade\/m-dcps-autism-specialist-arrested-for-allegedly-possessing-and-distributing-child-pornography-on-social-media\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/miami-dade\/m-dcps-autism-specialist-arrested-for-allegedly-possessing-and-distributing-child-pornography-on-social-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">in 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Turner was arrested after police were notified that he had allegedly posted such material online.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He worked as an autism specialist and psychologist for the district.
