A Hialeah man is facing charges after he allegedly called in a bomb threat to a Salvation Army shelter, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Juan Carlos Siblia-Lopez, 63, was arrested on a charge of making a false report about placing a bomb, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office officials said.<\/p>\n
Deputies had responded to the shelter at 1907 Northwest 38th Street on Wednesday after a caller said there was a bomb in the building.<\/p>\n
“Mr. Brown, you know who I am. There’s a live bomb in the building,” the caller said, according to an arrest report.<\/p>\n
The building was evacuated and searched but no explosive devices or suspicious items were found.<\/p>\n
Investigators were able to determine that the number of the caller belonged to Siblia-Lopez and was registered under the name “Alex Boom,” the report said.<\/p>\n
Siblia-Lopez was booked into jail and was expected to appear in bond court on Thursday.
