(CBS12) \u2014 Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire that broke out inside a Stuart 55+ community Sunday afternoon, officials said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/search?find=Martin+County+Fire+Rescue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Martin County Fire Rescue<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/search?find=Stuart%20Fire%20Rescue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Stuart Fire Rescue<\/a> crews responded to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesovana.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Sovana at Stuart<\/a> 55+ apartment community shortly before 2 p.m. after a fire started inside an apartment near a resident\u2019s stove.<\/p>\n<p>When crews arrived, the third-floor apartment and hallway were filled with smoke.<\/p>\n<p>See also: <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/news\/local\/fort-pierce-man-accused-of-firing-through-locked-door-at-woman-sparking-manhunt-fort-pierce-st-lucie-county-st-lucie-county-sheriffs-office-fort-pierce-police-department-nathan-hsu-domestic-disturbance-domestic-violence-shooting-gunfire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Fort Pierce man accused of firing through locked door at woman, sparking manhunt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Firefighters quickly evacuated the building and worked to extinguish the flames.<\/p>\n<p>The fire was contained to the apartment where it started, and no other units were burned, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>No one was hurt or taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Crews from Ladder 23, Engines 16 and 18, Rescues 14, 18 and 161, and Battalion 2 responded to the fire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"STUART, Fla.
