The Heat Advisory continues for northeast Florida and portions of southeast Georgia through 7 p.m. Another round of late-day showers and thunderstorms will develop along our southern zones and slowly move north, over northeast Florida.<\/p>\n
A coastal Heat Advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Friday.<\/p>\n
Near record highs continue today with slightly cooler temperatures expected this weekend.<\/p>\n
A record high temperature was set at Craig Municipal Airport yesterday, with the afternoon high reaching 97 degrees. This ties the previous record set in 2010. <\/p>\n
Scattered showers and thunderstorms, fueled by the heat, will be possible across northeast Florida from late afternoon through late tonight. Locally heavy rain, gusty wind and lightning remain the main hazards.<\/p>\n
In the tropics: We are watching a spot that could bring some wind and rain to Europe.<\/p>\n
Tonight: Heat Advisory through 7 p.m. Scattered showers and thunderstorms through tonight.<\/p>\n
Friday: Coastal Heat Advisory 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Scattered showers and thunderstorms for NE FL and SE GA, 40-60 percent. Morning lows in the 70s to low 80s. Afternoon highs in the 90s inland, upper 80s to low 90s along the beaches. Wind: SW\/S 5-15 mph.<\/p>\n

Weekend: Heat Advisories are not expected. It will still feel like the low 100s. Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, 50-70 percent. Partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and storms on Sunday. Morning lows in the 70s with highs in the low to mid 90s inland, upper 80s to 90s along the beaches. Wind: SSW 5 -10 mph.<\/p>\n
