I don’t think I’ll blow away anytime soon.”

The replacement is part of Pinellas Recovers, the county’s hurricane recovery effort funded through federal disaster recovery dollars.

Mobile homes present unique challenges because residents may own their home but lease the land underneath it. County program guidelines allow eligible applicants who live on leased land to receive a replacement, but they must have the landowner’s consent or identify another suitable location.

Replacement manufactured homes are rated for Wind Zone 3 and can be elevated as much as 8 feet to meet flood requirements, depending on the property’s location and flood risk.

The county says homeowners are also able to choose among qualifying mobile home models rather than receiving the same replacement home in every case.

The program currently has 120 approved mobile home applications, with more than 1,000 additional applications still under review.

More information about assistance specifically for mobile and manufactured home owners is available through Pinellas Recovers.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Nearly two years after back-to-back hurricanes damaged homes across Pinellas County, a program designed…

[13
1564,3125,1802,115,596,202,204,203,199,201,200,135,835
post-376854","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-st-petersburg","tag-angie-angers","tag-hurricane-helene","tag-hurricane-milton","tag-news","tag-pinellas-county","tag-st-pete","tag-st-pete-headlines","tag-st-pete-news","tag-st-petersburg","tag-st-petersburg-headlines","tag-st-petersburg-news","tag-tampa","tag-vod
["GET
