Patrick O’Brien, a spokesman for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

The two eventually walked out of the apartment, police officers detained them, and were investigating a report that weapons were involved, according to O’Brien.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases who wants to remain anonymous to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.

Local 10 News Assignment Editor Carson Merlo contributed to this report.

Location

Copyright 2026 by WPLG Local10.com – All rights reserved.

Andrea Torres

The Emmy Award-winning journalist joined the Local 10 News team in 2013.
