{"id":376997,"date":"2026-08-20T23:22:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T23:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/376997\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T23:22:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T23:22:08","slug":"daughter-seeks-justice-months-after-dad-shot-dead-by-woman-in-north-lauderdale-walmart-parking-lot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/376997\/","title":{"rendered":"Daughter seeks justice months after dad shot dead by woman in North Lauderdale Walmart parking lot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla.  \u2014 Nearly two months after a 62-year-old man was shot and killed following an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/news\/local\/2026\/07\/01\/bso-man-dies-after-being-shot-by-woman-in-north-lauderdale-walmart-parking-lot\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/news\/local\/2026\/07\/01\/bso-man-dies-after-being-shot-by-woman-in-north-lauderdale-walmart-parking-lot\/\">argument over a parking spot outside a North Lauderdale Walmart<\/a>, his family is still waiting for answers and says criminal charges should be filed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Bart Diguglielmo, of Lauderhill, was shot in late June after an argument with another woman, according to deputies with the Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office. They said the two were arguing over a parking space when Diguglielmo was shot in the stomach and fell to the ground.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Deputies said Diguglielmo was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">His daughter, Amanda Diguglielmo, described her father in an exclusive interview with Local 10 on Thursday as a devoted family man who worked as an emergency room trauma nurse for 30 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cHe was a great man. He was a father, he was a grandfather (and) he was a brother,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Amanda Diguglielmo said her father was also a twin brother, a father of three and a sergeant in the Army.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When asked what she would miss most about her father, Amanda said, \u201cEverything \u2014 being able to call him, have lunch, holidays, everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Deputies said the woman who shot Diguglielmo claimed she fired in self-defense. But Amanda Diguglielmo and her attorney, Melissa Rodriguez, dispute that account.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThis was not a situation of self defense or stand your ground immunity.
