(WJXT)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 A person was shot early Friday morning on Jacksonville\u2019s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Officers responded around 3:31 a.m. to Mc Cowan Drive near Blanding Boulevard and Collins Road. The victim is being treated for injuries. The suspect remains unknown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">JSO said several shell casings were recovered, and detectives are processing the scene, interviewing witnesses, searching for surveillance video and following up on leads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The scene remains active. JSO said the shooting appears isolated, with no current indication it was domestic- or gang-related.
