Jacksonville Beach police remained at the scene early Thursday investigating after a person was found dead under the pier. Officers were called to the area the previous night at about 9:52 p.m. in response to a disturbance under the pier in the 500 block of Beach Proper North, a police news release states.<\/p>\n
Officers arrived at the location and found a deceased male, the news release states. Police did not give any details on the person\u2019s age, identity, or how they died.<\/p>\n
The pier remained cordoned off with police tape early Thursday with multiple officers on the scene investigating. Police said they would release more details later in the day.<\/p>\n
