Police responded to a home in Miami Gardens Thursday night where neighbors said a man was shot by his own father.<\/p>\n
The incident happened along Northwest 154th Street, across from Rainbow Park Elementary School.<\/p>\n
Neighbors said they heard gunfire around 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe heard a loud like pow-pow-pow-pow,” one woman said. \u201cWe were looking around to see if it was close to us, I didn\u2019t hear any hollering and screaming, no scrumbling, anything like that, so I walked back inside.”<\/p>\n
The neighbor said it was a sad situation for the family.<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah it is for a father and son to being going through such a thing,” she said.<\/p>\n
The scene cleared later Thursday night, and police haven’t confirmed any details about what happened at the home.<\/p>\n
A boarded up window was all that remained at the home indicating a shooting happened there.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s a quiet area, my mom been staying here over 50 years plus,” the neighbor said.<\/p>\n
