A Sunshine State-famous specialty coffee roaster is making its South Florida debut in your city, Pembroke Pines.<\/p>\n
Tallhassee-based Lucky Goat Coffee<\/a> will set up shop at 15667 Pines Blvd. \u2014 inside central Pines\u2019 Paraiso Parc plaza \u2014 bringing with it house-roasted blends, unique drink offerings and a community space its team says goes beyond your usual caf\u00e9 interactions.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is designed to be more than a quick stop for coffee,\u201d Liz Deese, the chain\u2019s master broker, told the Pembroke Pines News on Aug. 21. \u201cIt creates a welcoming environment where people can meet, work, study and genuinely spend time.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Deese, the caf\u00e9 is in the process of securing a permit with the city, meaning its timeline is still up in the air. She estimates it\u2019ll take \u201cbetween four and six months\u201d before opening, placing its launch around late 2026 or early 2027.<\/p>\n The Pembroke Pines caf\u00e9 would mark the chain\u2019s 18th location nationwide<\/a>, 15th store in the Sunshine State and first South Florida brick-and-mortar. It\u2019ll take over the former home of health food eatery Raw Juce.<\/p>\n The brand\u2019s newest store \u2014 in Bryan, Texas, about 100 miles northwest of Houston \u2014 opened on Aug. 20.<\/p>\n Lucky Goat plans to stand out in Pines\u2019 coffee scene, adding southwest Broward to its growing die-hard fan base, says Deese.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s an absolute cult. … So many customers know us from the shelves before they ever walk through our doors,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n The brand was founded in 2010 by Ben and Brooke Pautsch, alumni of Florida State University, who opened the first Lucky Goat in Tallahassee\u2019s Capital Circle neighborhood.<\/p>\n But its cult fame skyrocketed in Florida in late 2024, when Lucky Goat stocked its Arabica blends in over 475 Publix supermarkets<\/a> across the state.<\/p>\n On shelves are classic light, medium and dark roasts<\/a> including Caramel Pecan, Almond Love and the brand\u2019s signature Billy Goat Breakfast Blend, as well as unique staples, including Cake and Confetti, the brandy-cinnamon Highlander Grogg and Ethiopian Wush Wush, a rare variety with notes of white peach, watermelon and cotton candy.<\/p>\n The cafe\u2019s menu items<\/a> are just as varied, according to its website.<\/p>\n Customers can pick from refreshing lemonade \u201csummer sippers,\u201d classic espresso-based cappuccinos, cortados and lattes, as well as house specials such as the Luckyccino, Goat Bomb and Strawberry Shortcake Latte.<\/p>\n Want a taste ahead the Pines location\u2019s debut?
