SENOIA, Ga. – A Florida father wanted on a missing child report was arrested in Georgia after police spotted his truck packed with four children and three pets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What we know:<\/p>\n
Senoia Police pulled over an F-250 pickup truck on State Road 16 after a Flock camera system alerted officers that a missing child from Florida was inside the vehicle.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Officers ordered the driver out at gunpoint and identified him as 35-year-old Kayton Lee Elmer of Pasco County, Florida, alongside his girlfriend, Aja-Linn Eddy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The backstory:<\/p>\n
Police said the missing 10-year-old boy is Elmer’s son, and while Elmer has unsupervised visitation rights, he was strictly prohibited from taking the child out of Florida.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The boy’s mother reported him missing after Elmer drove him across state lines into Georgia.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Senoia Police Capt. Jason Ercole detailed the dangerous overcrowding officers discovered inside the pickup truck.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“The 10-year-old child was located in the vehicle along with three other children who were not seat-belted,” Ercole said. “Uh, the car did not have enough seats for all the occupants, so one of the children were actually laying flat on the floorboard, two dogs and a cat.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police said the three other children in the truck belong to Eddy. Both Elmer and Eddy were taken into custody locally and face additional legal trouble.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“From what I understand, they were charged with reckless conduct for placing the children in the vehicle with not enough seatbelts, the one child laying on the floorboard during transport,” Ercole said. “Uh, and I believe also they were charged with interference with custody here in Georgia. I do believe they are facing other charges in Florida.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
