{"id":378510,"date":"2026-08-22T17:18:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T17:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/378510\/"},"modified":"2026-08-22T17:18:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T17:18:09","slug":"argument-between-neighbors-landed-one-man-in-jail-in-central-florida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/378510\/","title":{"rendered":"Argument Between Neighbors Landed One Man in Jail in Central Florida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An argument between neighbors landed one man in jail in Central Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies were recently dispatched to the K-Ville area on County Road 542, due to a reported armed disturbance.<\/p>\n<p>According to local law enforcement, it was reported that two men got into an argument, and one of the men allegedly pulled a handgun out and began threatening the other man. Deputies arrived on scene and learned that the armed man was 54-year-old Daniel Chester McCall, of Lakeland.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/b4370751.assetcdn.net\/2.0\/4370751\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/DanielMcCallPCSO1.jpg?lossy=2&amp;strip=1&amp;webp=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-286541\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/DanielMcCallPCSO1-248x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"248\" height=\"300\"  \/><\/a>According to law enforcement, McCall admitted to arming himself with a gun, but he told the deputies that he had already disposed of it in a nearby dumpster, and someone he did not know took it out. He also claimed that it was only a water gun, since he is a convicted felon and he is not allowed to possess a firearm, according to PCSO.<\/p>\n<p>A check of McCall\u2019s background showed that he has been convicted for four felonies.\u00a0During a search of McCall\u2019s residence, a detective found a 9mm handgun and ammunition was also found.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies additionally found a glass pipe, methamphetamine, pills (acetaminophen and oxycodone hydrochloride), cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Daniel McCall was arrested and charged with: Armed Trafficking in Methamphetamine over 200 grams, Displaying a Firearm During a Felony Offense, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possess a Structure to Sell Drugs, Possess Cocaine with Intent to Sell, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Fentanyl, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon without Intent to Kill, False Information to LEO in a Felony Offense, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"An argument between neighbors landed one man in jail in Central Florida.
