Wheeler<\/a> and his Arctic White 2025 Corvette ZR1<\/a> have returned to Orlando Speed World for a roll racing event hosted by Shifted Society. The competition is mostly about going 60 to 130 mph and we see right away that Wheeler prepped his Corvette by leaving his high wing a home so that his ZR1 will have a little less downforce for the quarter mile sprints.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Previously while at Orlando Speed World, Wheeler was warned that his excessive speed<\/a> would require additional safety protection and so he came prepared with a fire jacket, HANS device, helmet and gloves. The only missing item is a parachute. Although the ZR1 traps over 150 mph, the track\u2019s safety officer allows him to run without one due to the car\u2019s 15-inch carbon\u2011ceramic brakes.
\n \n<\/p>\n

As a quick recap, Wheeler\u2019s ZR1 is no longer stock. He\u2019s got an Eventuri Cold Air Intake, Soul Performance full competition exhaust with no cats or mufflers, and he is running Sunoco 260 GT (104-octane) which he believes with help mitigate engine knock thanks to Central Florida\u2019s brutal 91-degree heat.

For his first race, Wheeler takes on a Mustang with bolt-ons and it\u2019s running E85 fuel. From roughly a 30\u2011mph roll, the ZR1 clocks an 8.5\u2011second ET at 149 mph, and he calls that a strong shakedown run that confirms the car is \u201cmoving.\u201d
\n \n<\/p>\n

With the warn-up run out of the picture, Wheeler then lines up against a built Cicio Performance GT-R owned by his friend Jared who invited him to the roll racing event. The Nissan GT-R features extensive carbon work and is rumored to make well over 1,050 hp.

From another ~30\u2011mph roll, the GT\u2011R runs 7.74 seconds @ 156\u2013157 mph, while Wheeler\u2019s ZR1 posts a time of 8.23 seconds @ 151 mph. Wheeler says they entered the cones too slowly (around 30 mph instead of the ideal 50\u201355), costing him trap speed.
\n \n<\/p>\n

He estimates the GT\u2011R is likely making 1,150+ hp, given the margin. Despite losing the matchup, he emphasizes how competitive a stock\u2011tune ZR1 with only intake and downpipes can be against four\u2011figure builds.

With the heat being what it was, it really impacts the ZR1\u2019s ability for sustained runs. Wheeler calls the ZR1 a \u201cone-run wonder\u201d as his first pass is always the fastest. Limited airflow between runs causes severe heat soak, slowing 60\u2013130 times throughout the night. For hot-weather owners, he suggests future cooling mods like meth injection which could really help on a night like this.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Due to the heavy turnout, Wheeler only got two runs but still drives away impressed with the ZR1\u2019s performance. His car currently dynos around 990-wheel horsepower, and he notes that the stock ECU tune is the main limiter. Cooler weather should bring significantly better results.

At the close of the video, we cut back to his home as the Corvette\u2019s visible carbon fiber high wing is reinstalled. Just four bolts is all it takes!
