Peta Murgatroyd revealed she and her family \u2014 including husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy \u2014 are enjoying a \u201cgreat lifestyle\u201d in Florida after moving from Los Angeles. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve\u00a0always loved Florida, we\u2019ve always loved the lifestyle here,\u201d the \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d alum said in a since-expired Instagram Stories upload on Friday, per Us Weekly<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe fell in love with Boca because it, kind of, has everything, the best of everything,\u201d the pro dancer, 40, said, sharing that they\u2019re \u201creally close to Miami\u201d and \u201chave the beach\u201d nearby.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d alum (pictured here with Chmerkovskiy and their three sons) said in an Instagram Story post that they\u2019re enjoying the \u201cgreat lifestyle\u201d in their new state. Peta Murgatroyd\/Instagram<\/p>\n

Murgatroyd, who was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, also cited \u201creally top-rated schools\u201d and \u201camazing sports\u201d for their sons \u2014 Shai, 9, Rio, 3, and Milan, 2.<\/p>\n

The two-time Mirrorball champ admitted that she thought she \u201cwould have a bigger problem\u201d with the heat and shared that people told her, \u201cYou\u2019re gonna come back to Cali.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, she\u2019s happy with the cross-country move, noting, \u201cCali will always be a home of ours because we lived there for 20 years but, right now, I think\u00a0this is what our fam needs\u00a0and we are loving every second.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the best,\u201d she divulged.<\/p>\n

Murgatroyd also gushed over the \u201cvery sweet, very nice, very accommodating\u201d neighbors she\u2019s encountered, claiming \u201cthis never happened over there\u201d in LA and that the Florida \u201cmothers are all really nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted Shai to have the childhood that I had and I can see it happening. He has playdates, he has boys knocking on our door, saying \u2018Hey come play, let\u2019s go ride our bikes,’\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s the best thing for me, and it\u2019s all I want. I\u2019m so happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not only that, but she noted the convenience of having nearby friends for her children and \u201ca CVS or Walgreens on every corner,\u201d saying, \u201cI love it; I feel like at this stage of my life with three boys, I\u2019m about convenience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy, 46, detailed their move in an emotional YouTube video<\/a> in June, saying at the time that it was \u201cthe best decision\u201d for their young family.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are tears you don\u2019t expect, goodbyes that hit harder than you imagined, and moments where you wonder if you\u2019re making the right decision,\u201d she wrote in an Instagram post<\/a> at the time. \u201cBut sometimes you have to leave what\u2019s comfortable to find what\u2019s meant for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a separate Instagram post<\/a>, Murgatroyd reflected on the \u201cfun ride\u201d of living in LA in their $18K-a-month home<\/a> but said \u201cwe have to move on to new things, new life and new adventures, and make new memories.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDWTS\u201d couple married in July 2017 and have since moved on from the long-running competition show.<\/p>\n

Murgatroyd last competed on Season 32 in 2023 and Chmerkovskiy \u2014 a one-time winner \u2014 last competed on Season 25 in 2017.<\/p>\n
