\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> concluded its Summer Series on
\nSaturday night with a final stop in Tampa, where Cris
\nCyborg<\/a> defended her PFL women\u2019s featherweight title. Facing
\npromotional newcomer Ketlen
\nVieira<\/a>, who was ineligible to win the championship after
\nmissing weight, Cyborg delivered an entertaining performance in the
\nfinal fight of her PFL contract at
\nPFL Tampa<\/a>.Cris Cyborg vs. Holly Holm could become an intriguing boxing
\noption after PFL Tampa

\nAs the dust settles on a busy summer schedule, the PFL has several
\ncompelling matchups to consider for the final months of 2026 or the
\nbeginning of its 2027 campaign following the MVP merger. If Cyborg
\nis not ready to end her competitive career, an intriguing
\nopportunity could await her.<\/p>\n

This one might be a long shot, but what if Cyborg decides that she
\nwants to continue competing and the
\nMost Valuable Promotions<\/a> merger provides enough incentive to
\nkeep her career going?<\/p>\n

A boxing match between Cris
\nCyborg<\/a> and Holly Holm<\/a>
\nwould be an entertaining option, particularly if the merger results
\nin cards featuring both boxing and mixed martial arts bouts. Given
\ntheir names, accomplishments and striking backgrounds, it would be
\na natural spectacle. If Cyborg has no interest in continuing her
\ncareer, she can walk away after a legendary run.<\/p>\n

The matchup originally scheduled for the PFL Tampa co-main event
\nshould be rebooked as soon as possible. With Usman
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>\u2019s future uncertain, Rabadanov needs another
\nsignificant test in the lightweight division. Kaszuba fits the
\nbill, and their meeting could become a championship fight if the
\ntitle is vacated. Kaszuba withdrew from their scheduled bout
\nbecause of an injury, while Rabadanov handled replacement opponent
\nTracy
\nReeder<\/a> in the first round. The lightweight division needs new
\nchallengers, and Kaszuba could establish himself as one by
\ndefeating Rabadanov.
\nDaniel
\nMarcos<\/a> made an immediate impact in his promotional debut
\nagainst Magomed
\n\u201cTiger\u201d Magomedov<\/a>, although the finish was anticlimactic for
\nboth men. Marcos was tested throughout the fight, but an injury to
\nMagomedov\u2019s left shoulder late in the second round ultimately
\nbrought the bout to an end. Magomedov\u2019s corner threw in the towel
\nwhen he could not continue, but Marcos did his job and defeated a
\nformer title challenger. The victory should immediately propel him
\ninto the rankings. A matchup with Lazaro
\nDayron<\/a> could add intrigue near the top of a bantamweight
\ndivision that needs to establish its title picture sooner rather
\nthan later.
\nLuke
\nTrainer<\/a> scored a spectacular knockout against Roland
\nDunlap<\/a> on Saturday night, landing a front kick to the face
\nbefore closing the show with ground-and-pound in the second round.
\nTrainer should next face former training partner Simeon
\nPowell<\/a>, who earned the biggest victory of his career when he
\ndefeated Dovlet Yagshimuradov in July. With champion Corey
\nAnderson<\/a> continuing to pursue a fight against Vadim
\nNemkov<\/a>, the light heavyweight division needs a clear No. 1
\ncontender. A matchup between Powell and Trainer could determine who
\nreceives the next title opportunity.
\nSabrinna
\nde Sousa<\/a> earned the biggest victory of her young career by
\ndefeating Taila
\nSantos<\/a> via unanimous decision after pressuring the veteran
\nthroughout their fight. The rising contender should now find
\nherself in the upper half of the divisional rankings. With a title
\nfight scheduled for October, a high-profile matchup against
\nPaulina
\nWisniewska<\/a> makes sense. The bout would pit two of the
\ndivision\u2019s top young fighters against each other in a potential
\ntitle eliminator entering 2027. The PFL has plenty of emerging
\ntalent to promote, and this matchup would push one of its brightest
\nprospects toward the front of the line.
