Scattered storms move inland Thursday; Heat advisory issued<\/p>\n

Despite coastal storms early Thursday, most of the storms will favor inland communities tonight. <\/p>\n

Despite an early start to the storms near coastal communities, expect scattered storms to push inland Thursday evening. The main threats will be heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds.<\/p>\n

Another heat advisory has been issued for the Gulf Coast from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. as feels-like temperatures reach the triple digits. Highs will reach the low to mid 90s under partly sunny skies. <\/p>\n

Expect an early start to the storms again Friday as an onshore wind favors a few coastal storms during the morning commute. By Friday night plans, most of the storms will favor inland communities. <\/p>\n

For the weekend, we’ll see a similar pattern with early coastal downpours and inland afternoon storms. Highs will remain in the low to mid 90s over the next week. <\/p>\n

Tropics: No development is expected over the next seven days. The peak of hurricane season is three weeks away so be sure to frequently check back into the forecast. <\/p>\n
