TAMPA, Fla. (WWSB) – Florida gas prices are remaining relatively stable over the past week, despite rising oil and gasoline futures, AAA is reporting.<\/p>\n
The state average for regular unleaded gasoline is $3.86 per gallon, about the same as a week ago.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the national average edged slightly higher over the past week, rising from $4.07 to $4.10 per gallon.<\/p>\n
\u201cFlorida drivers didn\u2019t see much movement at the pump last week, even though the cost of oil and gasoline futures moved higher,\u201d said Mark Jenkins, spokesman for AAA – The Auto Club Group. <\/p>\n
\u201cIf wholesale fuel costs remain elevated, drivers could begin seeing more upward pressure on pump prices in the coming days.\u201d<\/p>\n
AAA notes gas prices can vary significantly between stations. Motorists can save money by shopping around, combining errands, and avoiding aggressive driving habits that reduce fuel economy.<\/p>\n
While it\u2019s too early to know what gas prices will be on Labor Day weekend, current market trends suggest motorists could pay more than they did a year ago. <\/p>\n
The national average price of gasoline on Labor Day 2025 was $3.19 per gallon.<\/p>\n
