DANIA BEACH, Fla. \u2014 Dania Beach has an at-large election<\/a> for mayor and vice mayor at five precincts on Nov. 3rd, according<\/a> to the office of Broward County\u2019s supervisor of elections. <\/p>\n

The Dania Beach commission candidate who receives the most votes will be elected to a two-year term as mayor and succeed Joyce Davis<\/a>, who was elected in 2020 and re-elected in 2024. <\/p>\n

The Dania Beach candidate who gets the second-highest number of votes will be elected to a two-year term as vice mayor and succeed Marco Salvino<\/a>, who was elected in 2024.<\/p>\n

The city listed<\/a> six qualified commission candidates who are campaigning for office: Maoz Druskin, Diana Fahmie, Aaron Hollis, Kevin Johnson, Colman Ryan, and Kristof Von Anderson. <\/p>\n

Druskin filed his statement of candidacy<\/a> on May 27. The Israeli Times described Druskin, 45, <\/a> as an Israeli-born entrepreneur and writer. He identifies<\/a> as a candidate committed to safety and supporting local businesses. <\/p>\n

Fahmie filed her statement of candidacy<\/a> on June 8. Fahmie, who has experience in real estate, identifies<\/a> as a grandmother of three who will prioritize protecting the city\u2019s charm and coastal areas. <\/p>\n

Hollis filed his statement of candidacy<\/a> on June 1. He founded KidsAlways1st, a nonprofit that focuses on crime prevention, in 2019<\/a>. He identifies<\/a> as someone whose work experience includes being an ice cream man and a diversion program facilitator.<\/p>\n

Johnson filed his statement of candidacy on March 9. He earned a doctorate in business administration and sports administration from St. Thomas University and works at Florida Memorial University. He identifies<\/a> as a candidate who wants the city to increase community engagement. <\/p>\n

Ryan filed his statement of candidacy<\/a> on May 26. Ryan identifies <\/a>as the president of the Dania Improvement Committee<\/a>, a civic organization. The Broward County Police Benevolent Association endorsed him<\/a> in July. <\/p>\n

Von Anderson filed his statement of candidacy<\/a> on June 1. The U.S. Army veteran is a construction project manager who identifies<\/a> as a father and a \u201cfresh voice.\u201d <\/p>\n
