A Placer.ai analysis of 11 major metropolitan areas<\/a> found Miami office visits during the first half of 2026 were 11.5% below the same period in 2019, the smallest gap among the cities studied. <\/p>\nOffice traffic in Miami also increased 7.7% compared with the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n
Nationwide, office visits rose 6% during the first six months of 2026 compared with a year earlier, but remained 31.2% below 2019 levels.<\/p>\n
New York ranked second in the recovery, with office visits 15.8% below 2019. Dallas was down 24.9%, while Atlanta remained 28.9% below its pre-pandemic level. <\/p>\n
Denver had the largest gap among the markets examined, with traffic 44.6% below 2019.<\/p>\n
West Coast cities posted some of the strongest annual growth. Los Angeles office visits increased 13% from the first half of 2025, while San Francisco rose 10.9%.<\/p>\n
Miami also ranked among the strongest cities for Friday office attendance. <\/p>\n
About 14.9% of its weekday office visits occurred on Fridays, tying Dallas for the highest share in the study.<\/p>\n
Commercial real estate data also showed continued activity in Miami. <\/p>\n
CBRE reported 344,000 square feet of positive net office absorption in the second quarter of 2026, with a 14.9% vacancy rate and average asking rents of $68.60 per square foot.<\/p>\n
