<\/a>PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. \u2014<\/p>\nAn EF0 tornado touched down in a Port St. Lucie neighborhood, leaving some homes damaged and residents recounting the frightening experience. <\/p>\n
A viewer shared Ring camera footage showing the tornado in the background, while another video captured the strong winds and the sounds that accompanied them. <\/p>\n
Resident Allison Rogers described the terrifying noises she heard during the storm. <\/p>\n
“It sounded like there was a hurricane outside the window, right, because I’ve heard those noises before and things like that, but it was just a swoosh, and it was just so scary to hear,” Rogers said. “It was just this ‘swoosh,’ and it just was so scary to hear, and that’s when I was like, I got to get up and look at what’s happening because it wasn’t normal, no.” <\/p>\n
Rogers admitted she was scared as she watched the twister from her home. <\/p>\n
“Absolutely, I stood there for a good minute before I even thought about grabbing my phone because you could see the twister in the street. Is it going to hit the windows? There’s metal everywhere; it was pretty scary,” Rogers said. <\/p>\n

Her home lost its fence and shed but never lost power. <\/p>\n
Another resident, Debbie Mastrolillo, said her home was untouched by the storm. <\/p>\n
“Our house, it’s 637, did not even get touched. Nothing!” Mastrolillo said. <\/p>\n
Aron Christiansen, who lives around the corner, said his roof was damaged during the tornado. <\/p>\n
“I looked out my window and we had a bunch of dark clouds over there and I saw a bunch of white and I thought that’s a lot of birds and I look closer and it’s debris and I’m trying to hustle my dogs into my bedroom and ten seconds later it went through and what we’re left with is a big mess,” Christiansen said. <\/p>\n
The tornado also moved over the St. Lucie River, where one viewer captured video of it as a waterspout. <\/p>\n
Even though most homes were spared, some residents said the experience was unsettling. <\/p>\n
“I felt it coming. You could see it coming, and it was really, really frightening,” Mastrolillo said. <\/p>\n
While some residents are still clearing debris, many are relieved that no one was injured.<\/p>\n
