ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. \u2013 An Orange County battalion chief was arrested last week as part of a prostitution sting out of Seminole County, according to the Altamonte Springs Police Department.<\/p>\n
In an arrest report, police said they were conducting an operation on Friday at a \u201cconfidential location\u201d in Seminole County, targeting offenses related to prostitution.<\/p>\n
\u201cAgents located several online advertisements on websites commonly used to solicit prostitution acts,\u201d the report reads.<\/p>\n
The battalion chief \u2014 identified as Steven Sherrill, 45 \u2014 reportedly got caught up in the sting, agreeing to a \u201cquick visit for sexual services in exchange for $80,\u201d investigators revealed.<\/p>\n
Sherrill subsequently headed to the confidential location, where he was taken into custody by detectives, the report shows.<\/p>\n
Now, Sherrill faces a charge of soliciting prostitution.<\/p>\n
