Representative Byron Donalds is expected to make a special announcement today at Miami’s Freedom Tower, one week after winning the Republican primary for governor. <\/p>\n

There has been speculation that Donalds, the Republican nominee for governor, could announce his running mate. <\/p>\n

Florida law requires gubernatorial candidates to designate a lieutenant governor by the ninth day following the primary, giving Donalds a deadline of Thursday to make his decision. <\/p>\n

There is also speculation that Donalds could announce a major endorsement. However, he already has the endorsement of President Donald Trump, the most prominent figure in the Republican Party.<\/p>\n
