TAMPA, Fla. \u2014\u00a0August 25 marks Phoebe’s birthday, the popular pink flamingo located in Tampa International Airport’s main terminal.<\/p>\n
The 21-foot bird is turning four, and TPA’s shops and restaurants are celebrating with flamingo-themed treats, merchandise and surprises.<\/p>\n
There will also be an afternoon\u00a0\u201cBird-thday\u201d bash featuring a flamingo stilt walker, a steel drum player, and a custom birthday cake.<\/p>\n
A few other happenings are also planned on Aug. 25:<\/p>\n
The Shoppes at Bayshore: From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., this location will feature local-artist face painting and flamingo-shaped balloon art.
\nDylan’s Candy Bar: Travelers can enjoy a complimentary pink flamingo gummy sample and limited-edition sticker, while supplies last.
\nMindworks: Passengers who purchase an Asobu Bestie Bottle can enjoy free custom name etching, while supplies last.
\nP.F. Chang’s:\u00a0P.F. Chang’s will offer complimentary pink macarons and mini pink cupcakes, while supplies last. They will also offer custom face painting.<\/p>\n
