VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 A private property in Volusia County is now being cleaned up after being overtaken by homeless camps, piles of trash and drugs, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
In a release, deputies said that the 80-year-old property owner lives out of town and wants to sell her land, but thousands of pounds of debris were left there.<\/p>\n
While deputies gathered over 500 pounds of trash from the site last weekend, another estimated 5,000 pounds remained, the sheriff\u2019s office noted.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, three people living on the property without permission were arrested and face several charges, including trespassing, littering, drug possession and public nuisance, the release says.<\/p>\n
\u201cPills, methamphetamine, and fentanyl were found at the camp along with buckets and bottles of human waste,\u201d the release reads. \u201cThe defendants claimed they had permission from \u2018Gator\u2019 to live there.\u201d<\/p>\n
