Ron DeSantis\u2019 veto of $2 million in funding for the organization\u2019s planned expansion.<\/p>\n Salmond discussed the impact of losing the state funding, the role Friends of Strays plays in the Tampa Bay community, and the organization\u2019s work as a no-kill animal shelter. She also explained what no-kill shelters are and how members of the community can support Friends of Strays as the organization continues its mission.<\/p>\n The team then turned to several LGBTQIA+ and national headlines.
