(CBS12) \u2014 A man in <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/topic\/Martin%20County\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Martin County <\/a>who crashed into a church is accused of driving under the influence and fleeing from police, according to the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcsofl.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Martin County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>MCSO says that on Monday, Geremias Pascual, 28, was seen swerving onto the grass while traveling northbound on SW Washington Avenue through a residential neighborhood. Despite deputies\u2019 attempts to stop him, Pascual simply wouldn\u2019t stop.<\/p>\n<p>Eventually, MCSO deputies used a PIT maneuver to slow down the SUV Pascual was traveling in, but that didn\u2019t work either. The damage to the church destroyed its air-conditioning unit and caused thousands of dollars in damages.<\/p>\n<p>He was then ordered by deputies to step out of the vehicle and placed under arrest. Pascual is being charged with fleeing and eluding, DUI, and four counts of criminal mischief\/damage to property.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"MARTIN COUNTY, Fla.
