{"id":381640,"date":"2026-08-26T14:04:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T14:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/381640\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T14:04:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T14:04:11","slug":"driver-dies-after-crashing-pickup-truck-into-storefront-in-miami-springs-deputies-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/381640\/","title":{"rendered":"Driver dies after crashing pickup truck into storefront in Miami Springs, deputies say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0August 26, 2026 at 9:22 AM<\/p>\n<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Updated:\u00a0August 26, 2026 at 9:49 AM<\/p>\n<p>lead-art-block.fullscreen-enterExpand<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"eager\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/PY2RSUQURZBJ3GQXW672VG3Y64.jpeg\"  width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\"\/>(WPLG) <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MIAMI SPRINGS, Fla.  \u2014 A driver has died after crashing his pickup truck into a storefront in Miami Springs early Wednesday morning, authorities confirmed to Local 10 News.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2026\/08\/26\/muere-conductor-tras-estrellar-camioneta-contra-local-comercial-en-miami-springs-dicen-agentes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2026\/08\/26\/muere-conductor-tras-estrellar-camioneta-contra-local-comercial-en-miami-springs-dicen-agentes\/\">Leer en espa\u00f1ol<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office, the crash was reported just before 2:30 a.m. in the area of Northwest 36th Street and Lee Drive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Deputies said Miami Springs police officers responded to the scene and discovered the driver was heading west on Northwest 36th Street, approaching Lee Drive, when the vehicle \u201ctraveled toward the right shoulder, entered the sidewalk, and struck a business storefront.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews also responded and transported the driver to Jackson Memorial Hospital\u2019s Ryder Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead, deputies said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MDSO officials confirmed that detectives from their Traffic Homicide Bureau have assumed the investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
