{"id":382125,"date":"2026-08-27T01:00:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T01:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/382125\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T01:00:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T01:00:08","slug":"case-shiller-miami-home-price-growth-accelerates-in-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/382125\/","title":{"rendered":"Case-Shiller: Miami home-price growth accelerates in\u00a0June\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The pace of United States home-price growth\u00a0gained steam in June\u00a0as the\u00a0years-long trend of a geographic divide in price performance continued\u00a0unabated: The Northeast and Midwest remained\u00a0strong, while\u00a0the Sunbelt and West\u00a0softened.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spglobal.com\/spdji\/en\/documents\/indexnews\/announcements\/20260825-1484791\/1484791_cshomeprice-release-0825.pdf?utm_source=marketo&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=feedotter-08-25-2026&amp;utm_content=httpswwwspglobalcomspdjienindexannouncementsarticlespcotalitycaseshillerindexreportsannualgaininjune2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The S&amp;P Cotality Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price NSA Index<\/a>\u00a0rose\u00a01.5% year over year in\u00a0June,\u00a0up from\u00a0a\u00a01.2% gain in\u00a0May.\u00a0Month over month, the index rose\u00a00.4%.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>S&amp;P Dow Jones noted that\u00a0while\u00a0inflation\u00a0continued to\u00a0outpace national home-price appreciation\u00a0in June, thereby\u00a0nullifying\u00a0the effect of home-price growth,\u00a0it did\u00a0cool somewhat, coming in at\u00a03.5%\u00a0in June\u00a0compared to\u00a04.2%\u00a0in May.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHomeowners and renters alike breathed a sigh of relief in June as inflation cooled to 3.5%,\u201d\u00a0said Rebecca Kaufman, associate director of commodities at S&amp;P Dow Jones Indices.\u00a0\u201cWhile home prices continue to decline in real terms, lower\u00a0inflation\u00a0and firmer nominal home-price\u00a0growth in June helped slow\u00a0that\u00a0pace of erosion.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In Miami, home prices gained\u00a02.27% year over year and 0.31% month over month in\u00a0June.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJune\u2019s numbers show a housing market that is finding its footing, though progress\u00a0remains\u00a0slow,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cotality.com\/press-releases\/case-shiller-august-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cotality Principal Economist Thomas\u00a0Malone<\/a>\u00a0said separately. \u201cWhile the 0.4% monthly increase was\u00a0positive,\u00a0it was only half the typical pre-pandemic June gain.
