LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 A man is accused of firing multiple shots in his backyard in St. Lucie County, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stluciesheriff.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">St. Lucie County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>SLCSO says that on Tuesday, deputies received three separate calls regarding shooting activity at a residence near Langston Drive in Fort Pierce.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation discovered that the shots came from Jernord R. SLCSO learned during the investigation that Kirkland is a convicted felon and prohibited from having firearms. Deputies recovered three firearms from Kirkland.<\/p>\n<p>As such, he was arrested and brought to the St. Lucie County Jail on charges of possession of firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm in public.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"ST.
