(WITN) &#8211; A Jacksonville sex offender is facing more than a dozen child porn charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Jacksonville police arrested 45-year-old Nicholas Brackett on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Warrants say the man had visual material and photographs showing children engaged in sexual activity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was charged with 16 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Brackett was also charged with having sexually explicit content involving children in 2025. That case is still pending, according to online records. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was arrested in April on drug charges and for failing to report a new address as a sex offender. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Brackett was added to the North Carolina sex offender registry after he was convicted in 2025 of five counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He is in the Onslow County Jail without bond. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WITN.
