TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Kearney Center celebrated a large donation from two local philanthropists on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Teresa Radzinski and Rick Kearney each donated over $100,000 toward the Kearney Center, totaling $250,000.<\/p>\n
The funds will go toward renovations and improvements to make people feel more comfortable and strengthen the services they offer at the center Executive Director Sonya Wilson said. <\/p>\n
Some of those new improvements include new paint jobs, expanding the board and increasing community involvement.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity for the Kearney Center not only to be world-class right here in Tallahassee, but this issue of homelessness and affordability and the bottom 20% of the population is everywhere. So, this given the size and scope of this place, it has the opportunity to really be a role model for Florida and other parts of the country.\u201d <\/p>\n
The Kearney Center encourages the community to stop by and take a tour of the facility and welcomes any helping hands willing to volunteer.<\/p>\n
