Free kits will be available. Residents can meet with disaster-recovery groups and local contractors.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampa.gov\/events\/remember-rebuild-prepare-hurricane-preparedness-kit-day-2026\/193986\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Tampa.gov,<\/a> the event runs from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and costs nothing to attend. Hurricane Help Florida plans to distribute 500 resident hurricane-prep kits and 250 pet-prep kits while supplies last.<\/p>\n<p>Guests can arrive earlier, from noon to 2:00 p.m., by making a $45 donation. This includes lunch from SaltBlock Hospitality and helps fund ongoing rebuilding work.<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural &#8220;Remember. Rebuild. Prepare.&#8221; event arrives two years after the 2024 hurricanes. Many Florida families still work to rebuild from those storms, while communities across Greater Tampa Bay continue preparing for future weather events.<\/p>\n<p>The event aims to raise awareness and support for families who remain in damaged homes. Pre-registration is required.<\/p>\n<p>John Bennett, Chief of Staff for the City of Tampa, will attend. Nonprofit partners, volunteers, community leaders, and local businesses committed to strengthening disaster prep and long-term recovery will also participate.<\/p>\n<p>Residents can register at the &#8220;Remember.
